Vision • Faith • Excellence
Reflecting on the journey of CJ Schools Modern Montessori Education Centre, I am filled with immense gratitude and a profound sense of purpose. When we laid the first stone of this institution in 2006, it was born not just out of a desire to build a school, but out of a divine calling to build people. We envisioned a place where academic rigor would meet moral fortitude, creating a sanctuary for the leaders of tomorrow.
My vision for CJ Schools has always been expansive. I did not just see a classroom; I saw a community. Over the past two decades, that vision has materialized into four thriving campuses across Accra—Kotobabi Main, Kotobabi Annex, Tantra Hills, and Adenta. Each brick laid was driven by a strategic commitment to provide accessibility to world-class education. We have moved from humble beginnings to state-of-the-art facilities because I believe that the environment dictates the quality of thought.
In my role as Director, I have championed a philosophy that blends the best of traditional discipline with modern educational innovation. We introduced the Cambridge Curriculum at our Tantra Hills branch to enhance our national identity with a global perspective. I believe that a CJ graduate must be competitive not just in Accra, but in London, New York, and beyond. Leadership is the core of our motto, "Learn to Lead." To me, leadership is about service, integrity, and courage. We are raising a generation that fears God and respects humanity. As we look toward our 20th Anniversary, my promise is that we will never settle; we will continue to innovate and pour our hearts into these children, for they are the true wealth of our nation.
They say that the hand that rocks the cradle rules the world. At CJ Schools, we take the "cradle" very seriously. As the Proprietress, my heart has always beaten for the youngest among us. My motivation was "Care Beyond Compare"—a motto that is the DNA of our institution. I wanted to create a school that felt like a second home, a place where parents could leave their precious ones and breathe a sigh of absolute relief.
My passion for the Montessori method comes from a deep understanding of child psychology. I realized early on that children are not empty vessels waiting to be filled, but active constructors of their own knowledge. This is why I have dedicated so much energy to perfecting our Pre-School Department. Seeing a 3-year-old buttoning their shirt with focus, or a 4-year-old solving a puzzle with determination, brings me immense joy. These small victories build the confidence that lasts a lifetime.
Beyond academics, my role is that of a spiritual mother. I believe in the power of prayer and a nurturing spirit. I ensure that our staff are not just qualified teachers, but compassionate caregivers. I personally oversee the welfare of our students, from their nutritional needs in our canteen to their emotional well-being in the classroom. For over 20 years, I have watched toddlers grow into confident teenagers and successful adults. To the parents who trust us: thank you. We will continue to love and guide your children as our own, preparing them for life itself.
Our journey has been marked by consistent academic success. We are proud of our unblemished track record in the Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE), where over 2000 students have graduated with distinction, securing placements in the country's top Senior High Schools. Our affiliation with international partners like Oakington Manor Primary School in Wembley, London, further enriches our curriculum, giving our students a global perspective.
